Word on the web is that the xbox 360 is gearing up for a slim-down. Some supposedly leaked photos of the motherboard have launched the world wide web’s rumor mill. The pictures show a motherboard that is much smaller, and combines both the video processor and CPU into one unit.

This is totally unconfirmed, and since we don’t know what web directory this picture came from, nobody knows for sure if it’s a prank or a legitimate leak. Microsoft is launching project natal this year, so it would make sense for them to have the launch coincide with a new, slim xbox.

I just hope the design is more reliable than their past designs. The 360 has over a %50 failure rate and as far as I know, they didn’t have nearly as much trouble with their first console.
