hotelicopter

Here’s a product that is bordering on the absurd: A flying luxury hotel. This concept is based on an old Soviet Mil V-12 , the world’s largest helicopter. Now check out the amenities on this bad boy:

The design outlined at the Hotelicopter site includes soundproofed rooms, each boasting a queen-sized bed, fine linens, a mini-bar, coffee machine, wireless internet access, and all the luxurious appointments you’d expect from a flying five star hotel – there’s even the promise of room service.

The original Mil V-12 never reached production because it was too cumbersome to pilot. It was as wide as a 747 after all… I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that this monstrosity is an elaborate April Fool’s joke.
