While it’s a bit of a roundabout way to do it, there’s a program out called Smokescreen that is giving apple’s portable products (the ones that begin with a lowercase i) the ability to play flash content. The good news: it is working… the bad news is that it isn’t great when it comes to more resource heavy content like games and videos… though it’s great for banner ads (D’oh!). On the plus side, this software is going open source, so this product should improve significantly when that happens. Now if only people took this approach to medicine- imagine what the world could do for adult acne treatments and such if we all combined forces. Of course, the first project would be treatment for cancer, obesity, etc. Then we could move on to the more minor issues. How about an open source car?
