The summer sun is unleashing it’s wrath upon my part of the world right now. That means that I’ll be racking up a huge electric bill just to keep the house below 85 degrees. It also means that I won’t want to leave the house because of the oppressive heat outside. Of course that leads me to shopping online! Today’s sweet deal is a refurbished Dell computer on sale for only $129.95. That insane price includes shipping and Windows XP Pro! Okay, the specs aren’t anything to brag about, but it would make a great web surfing machine or second computer. I would buy it just to play around with different operating systems- my neighbour works for Sun Microsystems, and he can do some awesome stuff with Ubuntu and an old PC. Sadly, I use programs that aren’t likely to be compatible with the OS, and I’m not too keen on partitioning and setting up for a dual-boot environment.

Next up is this awesome 12 megapixel Kodak digital camera. It shoots full HD widescreen images and has tons of features that come in to play automatically every time you take a picture. This would be perfect for my ebay sales- my old school 3 MP digicam takes photos that are a touch on the blurry side.
