banjo-kazooie-nuts-and-bolts

I’ve never played a Banjo-Kazooie game before, but since I played the Nuts and Bolts demo on the xbox 360, I was inclined to rent it. I really enjoyed the game, so I thought I’d write a bit about it. I played all the way through the campaign, but didn’t reach 100% completion, and I never playd online. Ever since I rented this game, I’ve been looking to get my hands on a copy with a decent sale price. Most recently, I found a it brand new at Buy.com for under twenty bucks. This is actually better than the prices that I’ve been seeing on eBay, and I’m tempted to just buy it there and be done with it. I mean, the lowest most used games go is about fifteen dollars these days, so this is about the best price you’re going to get on this game anyway.

Banjo Kazooie Nuts And Bolts is about 80% vehicle based. A good part of the game is spent building vehicles with parts that you find, buy and earn. This part of the game makes me think of playing with LEGOS when I was a kid. And a young adult. I have to admit that I was making rubber band, inertia and electrically powered lego cars will into my early twenties. Maybe that’s why I like this game so much- because it is a problem solving exercise- many of the challenges are won through superior vehicle design.

The leaderboards and upgraded parts awarded later in the game give the game a good enough reason to build new vehicles and try to tackle the challenges over and over again. Because of this, the game has very good replayability.

This game is loads of fun, offers up family friendly gameplay with lots of replayability- it is highly recommended, and if I had to give it a score, I’d say 8.5 or 9 out of ten. This game would make a great addition to just about anybody’s game collection.
