Everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog is back, and Sega Team has finally come to terms with the fact that Sonic is best played in old school side scrolling 2D. Except for Sonic Adventure, which was awesome. So, he’s back to his roots, refreshed as though he’s been taking hgh supplements . While I’m glad to see a new Sonic game done in the traditional 2D style, this little gameplay video looks a bit too much like the original Sonic game. It’s nice that they’re going back to roots, but you can’t just remake an old game and call it a new game without saying that it’s a remake.

Archive for February, 2010This dude is like a real life spiderman… except without the goo flying out of his wrists. He attached a vacuum to some tea tray sized plates and discovered that it produced enough suction to hold his weight on a wall. I imagine that if you intend to demonstrate this type of thing.. and actually scale a tall building, then you’d be interested int some quick weight loss solutions. There’s a video of this guy climbing the walls of a tower, and you can see it below. You’ll notice that he’s a skinny fellow. As it turns out, this isn’t just any average joe- he has a history of producing special effects for movies, and he’s now a TV presenter. First things first… this thing doesn’t look like the best design ever… don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t build a better one, and making spokeless bicycle rims is probably as difficult as coming up with new weight loss pills that work year after year. Anyway- the back tire looks a touch wobbly, and those little wheels that hold it in place are surely getting a lot of friction on the sides that make them wear out quite fast, and they are probably not too efficient either. Even if it relies on rollers at the top to keep the weight off of these little wheels, it looks like it might be wobbly anyway. The real LOL here is that the front tire has spokes. I’ve seen this thing all over, but this Gadget Blog has been generous enough to host GIANT pictures of the crazy conceptual contraption. |
