Bandai is selling these little toys for about $6 in Japan. All they really do is sit in your bottle of water and drift around. They don’t really serve any purpose other than being aesthetically pleasing. Kind of like those dog ramps I bought for the pickup… the dogs completely ignored them and leapt right into the tailgate. That’s okay, my mom uses them in one of her windows now. Maybe you could use the water bottle toys to distinguish the dog water from the people water!

Child labor laws be damned! This three year old is operating a huge digger, like it or not (I like it). Only in Russia! I guess this kid already knows what he wants to be when he grows up. Hit the source for a video of the action.

I love a sweet deal, and this deal is sweeter than my freshly-brewed halfa-frappa-mocha-doka latte. On sale this week is a 2GB SD card for just $5. That’s a silly price. I already have one of these, but I could probably use another one at this price. 2GB is big enough for two full length films… about 20 or so albums of MP3 files… 2000 digital photos using my 3 MP digital camera.. and so on. It’s a pretty decent size- a bit more than double the size on a single blank CD-R. With the latest and greatest in thumb drives topping out at 128 GB, this flash drive won’t turn any heads, but it is still plenty large for storing and transferring stuff, with a price that is small enough to buy without batting an eye.

Next up is this Samsung 18.5″ widescreen LCD monitor for just a hair over $100 after rebate. I just love how LCD screens are becoming affordable, and Samsung is the leader in LCD technology. This is a nice price on a nice screen. This little screen could be great even if you already have a monitor; I have a friend who is always going on about adding a second display to his home computer, and I’ve even used a computer monitor as a display for my xbox 360.
