211107345School’s out, so I went to the auction house yesterday. Seeing all of those awesome deals really put me into bargain hunting mode. That lead me to this Gateway Laptop for only $239.99! It’s refurbished, and the sale price is about half of the original retail value. This is the most affordable laptop I’ve ever seen. I would totally buy this so that I could go war driving! That would be awesome. They had a broken laptop at the auction. Someone actually bought it and let their kids play with it.

211108786Also on my wish list is this JVC Camcorder for $149.99. This would really improve the quality of my funny videos, so I’d like to buy this, too. This camera has 30x optical zoom, which is pretty impressive to me. I’d really like to have a decent video camera… my digital camera sucks at video… I just made a video with it and the quality is a joke.

The camcorder reminds me of an interesting job I had- I used to set up little cameras like this to monitor traffic. Basically, I would mount these cameras in little boxes on telephone poles and send the tapes off to Oregon where the company was located. They would then pay a high school kid to count the number of cars that crossed the intersection. The job was kind of scary,though- a lot of times, I was doing this in the middle of the night, and near people’s yards. I was always worried about someone shooting at me.

So there you have it- your weekly dose of awesome deals online with a little story thrown in for good measure.

This pizza box turns into four plates and a leftovers box. My analysis? Totally awesome.

skybike
Just like a bad car loan, this bicycle is upside down and backwards. This thing looks seriously awkward for the rider. About as awkward as telling someone that they have mesothelioma . Okay, that could be more awkward… this looks about as awkward as telling your date that you gave them crabs. Ah, that’s more like it.
