This guy owns the world record for having the fastest street legal electric car. It does an eleven second quarter mile. It also makes me want an electric car!
Yanko Design has come up with a faucet that even gearheads can get revved up about. You won’t be able to buy one of these sinks online , so don’t go rushing off to buy one just yet. Odds are, this faucet will never be sold, as it just isn’t practical enough for widespread distribution. Oh well, at least it’s an elegant design!
Here’s a homebrew project that is equal parts win and fail. A toaster that looks like a VCR? Win… kinda. A VCR toaster that prints “VHS” on your toast would be somewhat win-tastic, except that this toaster doesn’t actually do that… the creator of it just switched the toast out in the video! So there you have it, a semi-victory.
Here we have an army of tiny robots training for their attempt at world domination. Sure, they look all cute and cuddly now, but these are just the prototypes- once they get the bugs worked out, they’ll be making these things 12 feet tall. We’ll see who’s cute then.
When the metal ones come for me, I’ll be ready! I’ve been hoarding pool supplies, and I have painted the bottom of my pool to make it look just like any ordinary flat surface… so when the bots come for me, I’ll just lure them into my back yard, then.. Splash! The perfect robot trap! If all else fails, I’m keeping a fully loaded super soaker on hand at all times.
First up, we have this one terabyte hard drive wrapped in a protective silicon shell. The shell is removable for installation, and provides a attractive protection when you’re storing it. They’re stackable, too! This week’s crazy sale price is $109.99. That, my friends, is what I like to call a smokin deal. I paid $60 for an 80GB hard drive a few years back. Okay, it was several years ago.
Now, you may not think there’s much to get excited about here.. 1TB storage, big whoop, right? Well, my aging PC has two hard drives. When they join forces, I have a whopping 120GB of storage- about one tenth the capacity of this terabyte hard drive. Ready for the sucky part? The smaller drive is 40GB, and since it’s the newer one, that’s where my OS goes. Because that’s where windows is installed, that’s where every program I install wants to be. I’ve been down to 5GB of storage on this drive in the past.
Next up is this professional Espresso machine. The price is $145.90 after shipping. If you’ve never shopped for an espresso machine, you’d You’d think that was a crazy price for a coffee machine. Let me tell you, this is probably as cheap as you want to go for a real pump espresso machine, and I would totally buy it if I had the dough because it is the best deal I’ve ever seen on a real espresso machine. My neighbor paid a thousand bucks for his machine. There’s more… I bought one of those cheap steam espresso makers, and I can tell you from experience that they simply don’t do the job. First things first, to make proper espresso, you have to have a certain temperature of water at a certain pressure. Steam just doesn’t cut it in this department. Second, my cheap steam espresso machine makes the espresso taste like metal. That’s no good. The lesson is, you just can’t buy a cheap espresso machine and expect fantastic results.
Do you see what I did there? This isn’t the dunce cap of the 00’s, because they’re nearly over, and I just heard about this product. Next year, expect iPod DJ’s around the world to be rocking really small venues while wearing this. I’m talking about places like elevators that don’t already have music, phone booths, and hallways.
